Registration for Winter Season will start in early September.

What is the Winter Season? 

The Winter Season is an extension of the regular season for players and coaches in the 6U through 12U divisions who wish to continue playing in January and February. You may sign up your entire Fall Season team and keep playing together or sign up as individual players and we will create new teams. This is the only season that a player may request a coach.

Why do we call it Winter Season? 

It helps distinguish it from the Spring Select Season, which is composed of teams created by invitation ONLY for our most skilled players.  Should you register your player for Winter Season and they are asked to play on a select team, the region fee that you paid will be refunded.

When is it?

Games played on Saturdays in January and February.  Team lists and game schedules will be distributed at the coaches meeting in mid-December. Teams in the 10U and 12U division may travel to the Diamond Head region fields to play their games. ***NOTE: For 2022 Winter Season all teams will play in Kailua-Waimanalo Region we will not travel to play teams in other regions.***

Same as the regular season. 

When is registration?

Registration for Winter Season will start on Fall Core Picture Day, which is normally the 2nd Saturday in September.  Online registration will open 1-2 weeks prior.  All currently registered Fall Core Season families will receive an email announcing that registration is open.  It is highly recommended to register by the first Saturday in November as this is when we determine the number of teams that will be formed for the season - all players that register by this time are guaranteed a spot on the team as long as there are enough volunteer coaches to coach a team.


Refund Policy

You will receive 100% of the region fee paid for all refund requests received by December 31st. Email [email protected] with player's first and last name.

2024 Winter Season

Winter Season is an extension of our 2023 Fall Core Season and is for players born 2012-2019. If a Head Coach has volunteered to coach Winter Season, all players rostered on the team may request to stay on the same team by requesting their coach - but need to register early to be placed on same team. This is the only season that a player may request a coach. If the Head Coach decides not to coach during the Winter Season, the Assistant Coach may step up to be Head Coach for that team to keep the team intact.

  • Players on the 2023 Fall Core team have first preference to request the same coach.

  • Players who are requesting a specific coach but not rostered on the 2023 Fall Core team will be placed with requested coach in the order registration is received on space available only, make sure that you also request practice field (8U-10U only)

  • If you are requesting your Fall Core coach but not sure that they will be coaching, make sure that you also request practice field (8U-10U only)

It’s important that you register early as the number of teams will be determined on November 4, 2023. After this date there may be a waitlist in the division your child is eligible to participate in.

***AYSO Annual Membership Fee***
The annual Membership Fee will be charged at check-out. This fee is a one time only fee that you pay for the membership year and is non-refundable and non-transferable to another player but is transferable to other regions should you move out of region.

***Scholarships***
A limited number of scholarships are available. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please email our Regional Commissioner at [email protected]. You will need to complete and submit the Scholarship Form prior to receiving a discount code for a scholarship.  Scholarship approval must be received from the Regional Commissioner before completing the online registration process.

Registration Fee: $65 + $20 (AYSO Annual National Membership Fee) + $2.75 (Transaction fee) = $87.75

Players registered for 2022 Fall Core will not be charged the $20 AYSO Annual National Membership fee.
